Beyond Beginner Level Courses
Have you made a few quilts and looking for some more ideas?
These courses assume you know how to cut, sew and assemble basic blocks. The Beyond Beginner courses contain no explicit instructions for quiltmaking, just general tips. Some have construction techniques included, some don't. Most have design/layout ideas for you to expand your skills.
The Farmer's Daughters' Quilts
The course contains instructions for two versions of the same quilt design — one with sashing and one without. You will be making a quilt top which can be expanded to any size by adding a wide final border.
There are nine blocks in each quilt, with different effects in the blocks happening from the placement of fabrics.

Quilts From Your Fabric Stash
Why do people make quilts?
For a variety of reasons.
One reason might be to use scraps of fabric collected over time
Where do you start with your fabric collection? Learn how to 'classify' your stash fabrics, and how to make blocks using all sorts of fabrics together.
Designing Jewel Box Quilts
Learn to design quilts using this traditional favourite old-time patchwork block
Jewel Box is such a versatile patchwork block. Because it can be dark or light, made with matching fabrics or scrap, you could make quilts using this block for years and each one would look different!
You will learn to make the blocks using some fast piecing techniques. Included in the course are charts to make the quilt in several sizes, when different sized blocks are produced.
